Some of what this guy is doing is fine. Some of it is pushing a weanling too hard, and the neck tether with a rope like that is pretty dangerous if the foal panics. And...he's going to injure the horse with pulling its legs sideways like that.

(If you're looking at the foal's ears - it's a Marwari horse, they come that way).

This horse doesn't want to be ridden. It's scared and the behavior is clearly more than just trying to get out of work. I suspect pain. Or very green and they don't know what they're doing.

This is a so called trainer working with a lesson horse.

Everything looks really good until the one minute mark where he starts nagging at the horse. The horse starts spinning, which is what his spurs are asking for. Then he starts hitting her. The horse melts down.

How Not...

...to "break out" a horse.

1. No helmet.
2. Horse looks like a yearling.
3. Spurs.
4. Rider using spurs to keep himself on.
5. Did I mention spurs.
6. NO SHIRT?

That's not a bad piaffe, but the animal is tense, unhappy, and tied to a wall in a yard...I think there are chickens around somewhere.
