...no idea what this guy did to this horse. It looks unhappy and then takes a chunk out of him. Maybe the extra strap is annoying him? The halter's too big, too.

...then just hook it up to a giant cart. It's clearly never been driven before... When it freaks out they don't seem to know what to do.

Let's start with the completely slick trailer ramp, continue with the not being able to control the horse properly. End with...whacking it on the nose. But not when it tried to kick her with a front hoof...that got no discipline at all.

Horses...

...have done all sorts of jobs for humans over the centuries.

But I didn't know they had ever been used as fishing platforms!

I assume this is fairly traditional in this part of Belgium - it doesn't look like something you'd invent recently - so now I'm quite curious as to how long this has been going on. Gorgeous drafts, too.

No, not what you think. Quite.

Yup. You unload your horse from the trailer, tack it up, race around the arena (with some typically lousy contesting equitation...I can't talk, mine's no better) a few times, then you get off, untack and, yup, back on the trailer.

I'm trying to decide if this is a good test of horsemanship, a gimmick, or likely to result in long term loading problems from the stress.

I really can't decide. I had NO idea this was a thing.

Holding Up Traffic.

I don't know what led up to this, but boy is this horse causing a traffic jam. No sign of the owner...oh, now somebody's getting out of a vehicle. No halter on it...did it jump out of a field? Looks well cared for and uninjured, just not sure where to go. And not wanting to be caught by anyone...there's somebody else trying. It does, however, have the sense not to try and cross the railroad lines.

Weird.
