...it's a tradition at Hindu weddings for the groom to ride to meet his bride on a white horse.

This guy can't ride, and that was clearly known from the fact that the horse's handler (probably, she rents horses out for just this purpose) was leading it in a halter, but the horse freaked out - perhaps something to do with how he landed in the saddle?
